I have a 1998 Ford SUV that starts intermitently. I have had it serviced and looked at by mechanics.

I have brought it to mechanics, it has gone on the computer, it starts everytime it is being looked at. I've heard Ford has ignition issues, has anyone else experienced this and if so, were you successful in repairing it?

ignition switch mounted on the wheel well in the engine compartment or battery cables, even the starter it self
I wish you could have said what kind of SUV as the 2 made that year are different.

The module problems that Ford had were gone by that year and they moved everything to the PCM... As of late, other than maybe a coil pack, Ford's getting better with the ignition.

Ok the starts intermittantly can be a few things possibly but I'm gonna have you diagnose it or at least give the technicain an idea ok?

When it won't start:

Is a light on the dashboard flashing crazy and bright when you have the key in the ignition.. (very quick flashes?) if yes, PATS issue, IF no continue
