I want to buy a boot disk from some guy off ebay. I was wondering if Boot disks reinstall windows for you and repair all the drivers (a driver is missing from my computer). Are they like system recovery disks?

I suggest that you DO NOT purchace anything from E-Bay regarding boot disks or anything of the like. No, Windows Home, Pro, XP, etc. are OS's that need their own disk to install. You can buy them at any computer store or any store that sells computer software etc... Be Careful!!!!!
no i wouldnt assume that .. get bootdisks for free from bootdisk.com ...if u need a retail operating system install disk then verify what ur buying ..
Don't buy a boot disk, you will just waste your money. If you have a xp operating system then your windows cd is your boot disk. (1)If you start your pc press delete until you go into setup. (2) go to boot settings and make your cdrom your first boot device , your second your hard drive. (3) Restart your pc after saving the settings, insert winxp cd into the drive,and press any key to enter setup when it asks you to. (4) Read the on screen instructions and go on as you would to install xp, then it will find a previously installed operating system and it will give you the option of repairing the existing windows, select it. (5) It will delete all windows files and re-install it, so any missing files will be replaced, witout losing any work or data on your pc. Mail me if you struggle. Good Luck
