1) Turn your wireless router off for about 20-30 seconds, then back on. Test connection on "other computer". Works DONE. Not working proceed.

2) Reboot "other system". Test.

3) If 1 and 2 fail, Time to read the troubleshooting section of your manual for your wireless router. Each router model varies in settings and so forth considerably. See source for a start point to Linksys wireless routers.

Sometimes you just need to restart the computers. Other times you might need to key in the password again. At one time I also found that the USB wireless adaptor goes dead. Best to replace it. In fact, you should check the wireless adaptor first. I keep a spare one. If replacing it solves the problem, then I know that the old one was no good. One more thing. You might want to try to switch the wireless adaptor (if it is external) to a different USB port. Good luck
First off, though easy to use, Wireless USB adapters can sometimes be a hassle to work with. Transfer rate is a little if-y and so is the range. Make sure the USB Adapter is in range and check to see if the router is compliant with the USB adapter. It sometimes doesn't agree with the companies and sometimes its merely a hardware problem. On the router you might have to change the settings if the Adapter is older (i.e. Router is 802.11g protocol while the adapter is 802.11b) Keep trying and fiddle with settings till they agree. Hope this helps! ~Peace
Connect the cable modem to your main PCvia the USB connector.

Connect the linksys wireless router to the cable modem via CAT-5 cable then refresh your wireless connections on PC 2.

Done Deal.
