How can I know if a reinstall of Microsoft Offfice Pro 2003 is going to work?

Here's the deal. I have Microsoft Office Standard 2003 on my laptop and my Word program needs to be repaired. I have a few computers. I went to my software box for the disk so I could reinstall it. All I could find was a Microsoft Office Pro 2003 disk. I am not even sure what computer has that edition. It has the product key on the back. Will it work if I uninstall the Standard edition and then install the Professional edition? Or if the Professional edition has already been installed on one of my computers, can it be installed on this one? Is there anything else I need to know before I do this?

Please help. This is really important. I have to have my computer working.

Go to each PC and open Word. Then, click on the Help TAB. It will tell you what version of MS-Office is installed. When you find the one with PRO on it, use Open Office on all other PCs.

Microsoft only allows ONE PC, ONE copy of MS-Office, legally, but you knew that!!!

No, you don't need to un-install MS-Office. Report It
