All my ipod shows is the apple.. plz help?

i know how to reset it but i've done that and it does'nt work..could it be my battery? i'm to the point i want to wipe out everything and reload everything but my computer does'nt recognise it when i plug it in .. i've let the battery go completely dead and recharge it .. nothing helps.... where do i go from here?? send it to a repair shop???.. its an old 60 gig classic.. .. help

First off Did you Install the software and drivers for your ipod? If you did and this is happening , i would uninstall the program first. reboot clean up your computer. and run registry cleaners.

Your ipod is fine , the battery issue is not causing problems .. if you think you need a new battery for your ipod find out if you can purchase , and if the battery is to much then trash it but not until you check the above first.

After rebooting and cleaning . then reinstall the disc, you do have the disc right?

If you do not have then get it from macs website and download the latest software for your ipod.

It is a must to have the drivers installed in order to run your ipod properly. You can also after the computer clean, just replug and see if the driver installs itself. This can work but might have limitations .
