I used to have the full package of Cable, Phone, and internet. But I did not need the phone anylonger, so I cancelled it. The modem did not work after they shut off the service. So Time Warner told me to get a new one. Spend my time and gas to do this. When I went to hook up the new modem I received, it did not work either. After talking to Time warner for 54 daytime minutes on my cell, they told me it "was my computer." The IT people at my work told me there is nothign wrong with my computer and they need to send out a repair guy to fix the problem. Anyone have these problems? because now they wont send out a repair guy. So I am not going to pay for the service, which is going to get ugly. I also need to know of places I can report Time Warner and let other people know how bad they are treating me right now. Thanks in advance! So anyone have these problems? Any places I can go to report them?
Time Warner Modem Problems...?hp
Hey whats up, yeah I used to go through Time Warner' s RoadRunner service. While the service was good most of the time, the customer service stunk. I was paying 39.99/month for internet and I had to wait an hour to talk with someone, that was BS. Anyway, about your problem, you should try a few things, 1)reset your modem while it is plugged in a turned on and plugged into your computer. 2)Check your system hardware (to do this go to start, my computer, right click, properties, hardware tab) make sure that your ethernet driver is installed so that you KNOW its not your computer. If your ethernet card is not working properly, that is the problem. You can intstall the ethernet driver by using a disc you should have recieved with your computer purchase. 3) Are all the lights on the modem on with the "activity light" blinking and the "online" light solid green? If these are all on then your modem is probably working properly.
