I know it sounds crazy but here is what I do. I will promise you it works.

Toothpaste.

Any kind will work.

And this sounds crazier, but rub the toothpaste on the top of the C.D, where the scratches are not there, and rub it all around, with a little bit of warm water. Then when it has been rubbed it, wash it off with luke warm water.

After that, pad-dry it, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Repeat with the other side, and let it dry for 30 minutes.

But it in the player, and it should work.

Believe it or not!
A scratched CD/DVD is a problem with the physical media, software could not fix this - if the disc works than scratches are not a problem - just copy the data off and re-burn the disc, but if the disc does not work than you need a physical solution - I have seen a few devices that claim to work but have not tried them personally...
go to a movie/cd store, like fye. there's no program that'll fix it, but there are disk repair machines that work wonders if u get the right one. the one i have looks like cd player that you plug into the wall. you put the disk in, along with rotating sanders and pads, and it fixes the disk in a couple minutes. its great. if they don't have it at fye, try looking it up and finding another store or go to ebay, i'm positive there'll b one there.
It is not that easy but can try. Personally can't.
use toothpaste and a soft toothbrush. strange but it helps sometimes.
Repairing damaged disks will require some special machines/products. As many have already stated, NO PROGRAMS will fix this!

As a warning though, I think there's a risk that some data might be corrupted or lost in this case. Also, buying accessories for repairing disks will probably cost you some money.

My best tip for games, just send it back to the company and have them send a replacement. Generally you just have to send the game disk with the original packaging, disks, and receipt along with maybe 5 dollars via mail. You'll get a totally new replacement that way. =D
www.gameshark.com go to store and buy the motorized cd repair kit it works great, or try this site
