Ok, firstly, I have a Dell Inspiron 1705 laptop, with a 17' inch screen, 2G RAM, and Intel Duo Core Processors. A few minutes ago, it slipped out of my bag and fell about 2 feet to the floor, landing on the top side. After examinging it, I noticed that the only thing really wrong with it is that the lights that display such things as whether the computer's being charged, or Caps, Num, and Scroll Lock, as well as the power and loading light do not turn on when they should be on. The Wi-Fi light is still on... but thats about it. What can I do at this point? Do I need a professional to repair it or is it something I can fix myself...?
The lights on my laptop won't turn on! Help?
When this happened to me, I took it into a professional and I was informed that my motherboard had "slipped". The problem was easily fixed and covered by my warranty, even though I had been at fault because I dropped it.
Hope that helps!
