We just set up a wireless network in our home. We have 3 computers on teh network, and for some reason we will all occasionally get kicked off. It is not always at the same time, and even happens when even only one person is connected. My laptop seems to be the worst, losing connection about every 2min. I then reconnect to teh network by clicking repair. the weird thing is that my computer will never say that i am connected to the internet. I have a weather thing on my desktop and it displays the temp when im online. so that will pop on while it is trying to connect to the nework. so i just stop it bc im back online for a few min, and if i let it keep going, it will just say cannot connect. my wireless will work about anywhere else, just a problem at home.... please help
Kicked off by wireless...?network security
There are so many variables to consider with a problem like this.
I suggest you go to a friendly site like www.short-media.com post a thread explaining your problem and someone will help you.
You need more information though about your wireless router, type of connection and laptop etc.

The wireless environment is a constant changing space with many variables. If you run a microwave or if one is close by, your cordless phones if they are on the same frequency can be an issue, or even other wireless routers/modems close by. The newer but older generation 802.11n models often slam the noise floor with signals to completely shut down a regular store bought router.
