Can you get to safe mode from DOS?

I startup up windows (XP) and it says DISK BOOT FAILURE, so i put in my xp disk, and it goes throguha a process, then ENTER to continue, F3 to exit, and R to repair, i got to repair and it brings me to dos, is there anyway that I can reboot in safemode from DOS, because I don't get a chance to open in safe mode when I restart my computer regularly, as it just goes to DISK BOOT FAILURE

Can you get to safe mode from DOS?antivirus download

in short no you cant

looks like you have a boot sector thats corrupt or missing

you have tied the most obvious thing by repairing it and that failed

only thing left to do is

1:- buy/get a loan of another drive, reinstall windows and

use you drive as a slave and get all your information back

2:- if theres nothing worth saveing simply format and re-install xp back on

i hope this helps

first of all, in windows xp there is not a dos operating system in realmode. Dos went out the window with windows 98. Second thing, your problem is probablly a bad sector on you hard drive or your hd mbr. I would use that site below, and then download a disk utility for your hard driver from the manufactor's web site. If that didn't work, I would reformat the drive and reinstall. If it is still coming up with errors, I would buy a new hard drive.
no, sorry
nope time for a new puter eh
